Leesha Mony is a Marriage & Family Therapist intern who has the privilege of working with children, teens, families & adult individuals seeking support.
She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to build strong & healthy relationships & heal from past traumas. Leesha believes in guiding individuals through life’s obstacles with healthy communication, empathy, & openness, all to ensure change & personal growth with every client.
Leesha graduated from California State East Bay with a Bachelor's in Psychology & completed her Masters in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy at Dominican University.
While completing her Bachelor’s degree, Leesha worked at Hospice of the East Bay supporting patients & families who were going through difficult life transitions dealing with issues around grief & loss.
Throughout Leesha’s training she was given the opportunity to work with many diverse communities supporting children & families at East Bay Agency for Children. There, she was able to help children deal with many issues ranging from depression & anxiety to severe trauma. Her role was to provide individual & group therapy to children, help them learn more adaptive coping & emotional regulations skills, while fostering insight & promoting positive self-esteem.
Leesha also trained at Family Paths working to support parents, teens & children who were looking to heal & transform their lives.
Her passion lies in helping to empower children, caregivers and parents, while strengthening families & creating a safe place for all clients.
