The Program

The Children's Institute founders, Natasa and Amy, created TCI to provide all licensed and unlicensed therapists with a work place that was nurturing environment that stimulated and promoted education and growth.

TCI is unique in the Bay Area because it provides all associate therapists and licensed therapists with a ...

  • private practice room

  • supervision

  • case conferences

  • social gatherings

  • ongoing training

  • fantastic team of co-workers.

Unlike large non-profit organizations, we provide all of our therapists with competitive pay and we do not believe in pressuring therapists to take on cases. TCI has a very high retention rate for employees and our company is continually growing and expanding!

Supervision

Natasa & Amy offer supervision & consultation to non-licensed LMFTs & LCSWs seeking to work in an inclusive therapy practice.

We provide feedback & guidance ensuring that you are practicing within the scope of our profession; in line with the legal & ethical rules & regulations of your license.

We provide weekly supervision, during which we work with you, the supervisee, to determine skill level & promote development of your professional identity & competence.

We work hard at creating an empathic & safe environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your experience; we also believe it is important to be direct & give tangible interventions that you can apply to learn & practice on your own.

What our former participants have to say...

I had the honor of training at The Children's Institute as an Associate MFT.  I am incredibly grateful for my experience. Amy Kelly created a wonderful learning environment and holding space as I navigated and grew as a therapist. The experience that I gathered while working at The Children's Institute helped to prepare me for beginning my own Private Practice.  When I made the transition I felt confident and supported by Amy and the other associates.  Both individual and group supervision were amazing places for me to grow and learn from others while also learning skills and different ways to work with clients.  I highly value my time spent with Amy Kelly and The Children's Institute and feel that it was a great place to receive excellent supervision while gathering a wealth of experience.
