The Program

The Children and Family Therapy Institute founders, Natasa and Amy, created TCFTI to provide all licensed and unlicensed therapists with a work place that has a nurturing environment, stimulating and promoting education and growth.

TCFTI is unique in the Bay Area because it provides all associate therapists and licensed therapists with a ...

  • private practice room

  • supervision

  • case conferences

  • social gatherings

  • ongoing training

  • fantastic team of co-workers.

Unlike large non-profit organizations, we provide our therapists with competitive pay and we do not believe in pressuring therapists to take on cases. TCFTI has a high retention rate for employees and our company is continually growing and expanding!

Supervision

Supervision and consultation are provided to non-licensed associates (AMFTs, ACSWs, and APCCs) seeking to work in an inclusive group therapy practice.

We provide feedback & guidance are provided ensuring everyone is practicing within the scope of their profession; in line with the legal & ethical rules & regulations of their licenscure path.

Weekly supervision is provided, during which each supervisee's skill level is determined and the development of their professional identity & competence is promoted.

TCFTI works hard at creating an empathic and safe environment where everyone can feel comfortable sharing their lived experience; all supervisors hold a core belief that it is important to be direct & give tangible interventions that can be applied and learned allowing each associate to implement on their own.

What our former participants have to say...

I had the honor of training at The Children and Family Institute as an Associate MFT.  I am incredibly grateful for my experience. Amy Kelly created a wonderful learning environment and holding space as I navigated and grew as a therapist. The experience that I gathered while working at The Children and Family Therapy Institute helped to prepare me for beginning my own Private Practice.  When I made the transition I felt confident and supported by Amy and the other associates.  Both individual and group supervision were amazing places for me to grow and learn from others while also learning skills and different ways to work with clients.  I highly value my time spent with Amy Kelly and TCFTI and feel that it was a great place to receive excellent supervision while gathering a wealth of experience.
